Gajendra Singh Sareen
Founder, President and CEO
G.S. Sareen is the Founder, President and CEO of Omni United, one of the fastest growing global companies in the tire industry. He founded Omni United in 2003, after having identified the market opportunity available to an agile, efficient, customer-service oriented and design-driven global tire supplier, with state of-the-art logistics and supply chain management. Under his direction, Omni has become a leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of tires worldwide, offering a complete range of products and service solutions to its customers in over 80 countries.
Mr. Sareen has always believed in Speed, Innovation, Sustainability and Social responsibility as the core for the company’s vision. In 2011 he launched the Mobilizing Hope Campaign through which the company supported Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In early 2012 Mr. Sareen set the strategic goal for Omni United to become the first tire company in the world to become carbon neutral and this was achieved through the Radar Tires brand in late 2013. In November 2014 he launched Timberland Tires through an innovative partnership between Timberland and Omni United that was based on sustainability at its core.
Prior to founding Omni United, Mr. Sareen was an early entrepreneur in the booming online e-commerce industry. He successfully launched, managed and subsequently sold mindtrac.com, one of the first B2B online market exchanges in the tire industry, backed by JP Morgan.
Mr. Sareen is an alumnus of the Daly School and the Science College in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, and is a decorated and distinguished member of the Indian Army where he served for close to seven years. He was awarded a gallantry award for action in 1993 by the President of India.
Throughout his professional career, Mr. Sareen has received numerous entrepreneurship and corporate leadership awards, including the “Singapore Fastest Growing Company Award”, the “Singapore Entrepreneur of the Year Award” and the “CNBC Business Emerging India Award”. Most recently in 2012 Fortune Magazine recognised him as one of Asia’s leading CEOs. In 2013 he received the “Distinguished Business Leader Award”, by Singapore’s SME 500 and the “DBS Insignia Spirit of Vision Prestige Award”. Recently, Omni United has been included in the prestigious Singapore E50.
Sagra Maceira de Rosen
Member – Advisory Board
Sagra Maceira de Rosen is a member of the Advisory Board since 2011 and serves as a strategy adviser to the Founder and CEO. She also conceived and developed the Timberland Tires project, the first-ever partnership between a global fashion lifestyle brand and a tire company.
Sagra worked in investment banking for close to a decade, at Morgan Stanley and later at JP Morgan in London, leading the global research team for Luxury Goods, Fashion and Retail, where she was a top ranked analyst. She then joined Reig Capital Group, a family office investment company as Managing Director of its Luxury & Retail Division, where for five years she oversaw the investments of the group in luxury, retail and media brands. Most recently she was the CEO of Amanda Wakeley, the London-based luxury lifestyle brand where she led the restructuring and turnaround of the company.
Sagra is a frequent speaker at luxury goods conferences, has co-authored a book, “The Towering World of Jimmy Choo: A Glamorous Story of Power, Profits and the Pursuit of the Perfect Shoe”, and is a weekly contributor to The Briefing, a program of Monocle24, the radio service of Monocle magazine, commenting on the luxury and retail sector. She is also involved with a number of charitable and non-for-profit organizations, serving as a member of the European Board of Trustees of Vital Voices, the non-for-profit organization founded by Hillary Clinton to promote women leaders around the world and as Trustee of The Uganda Charity Trust Fund.
Sagra has an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and an undergraduate degree in Business & Economics from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Phillip D. Caris
Phil is the Executive Director at Omni United and heads the overall US operation. He is responsible for business strategy and driving the growth of the company. He has over 32 years of experience in the tire industry. Phil earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ohio Northern University, Ada, Ohio and a master’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio.
Prior to Omni United Phil was the Vice President Sales, North America for Cooper Tire. During his 32-year career at Cooper Tires, he has held a number of key positions such as Vice President Marketing, Director Marketing, Director Sales and Marketing for Europe operations, Director of Strategic Marketing and most recently, vice president of sales and marketing. He has also served on the Boards of Cooper-Avon Tyres, Mickey Thompson Tires, and their Cooper de Mexico operations.
Phil is a multi-talented personality who currently serves as a member of the Dicke Business College Advisory Board at Ohio Northern University, as the Chairman of Project H.O.P.E. and on the Executive Council for Boy Scouts of America.
Group Head - Strategy & Finance
Anil Nagu is a Chartered Accountant and a seasoned finance professional. At Omni United, he is the Group Head of Strategy & Finance and is responsible for mergers & acquisitions and the overall growth of the company.
Anil joined Citibank, N.A. India in 1991 and subsequently worked at their offices in the UK and Singapore. He spent 24 years with them in finance, audit, cash & trade and private equity. Prior to joining Omni, Anil was the Managing Director and Global Head of Fund Management for Citibank’s emerging market private equity group. He was on the board of the general partners and was responsible for the overall corporate governance of the private equity funds.
Anil is an alumnus of The Daly College, India, is a sports enthusiast and has a passion for travel.
Chief Operating Officer
Michael is the Chief Operating Officer for Omni United and oversees global marketing and operations.
Prior to Omni United, Michael has worked with some of the leading companies in the automotive industry such as Rolls Royce, Cooper Tire and Pirelli where he has held key strategic positions across multiple continents. He has a proven track record in start-ups, M&A and company turnarounds and has a strong ability to work within international cross-cultural organizations & cross-border complexities and generating innovative solutions that are relevant to the market.
He was born in Trieste, Italy and graduated from Swansea University, UK with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies. Having worked in various countries in Europe, Asia and North America, Michael speaks fluent Italian, English, French, Spanish, and a little Chinese.
Director - Finance
Vasudev is a multifaceted finance veteran who has over 30 years of experience in the Cost Management accounting. He holds a master’s degree in Cost and Management Accounting. At Omni United he heads the corporate finance and is responsible for planning, risk management, managing the cash flows, P&L, and financing.
Vice President - Global Technology
Marcus has over 25 years of experience in tire technology. He is an MBA from Bowling Green State University, holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering of Polymer Science and is a Black Belt in Six Sigma.
At Omni United he is responsible for the overall global research and technology.
Prior to Omni he was working with Dunlop Tires as a Technical Director. Apart from that he has spent a majority of his career working with Avon Tyre, and post its acquisition, at Cooper Tire where has had held key positions in the design engineering department.
He is a cycling and sports enthusiast and in his free time like to participate in cycle sportive races.
President - Middle East and Africa
Ashok is a veteran in the tire industry with over 40 years of experience. He has a notable record of expanding business in over 40 countries in the Middle East, APAC regions and Africa regions.
He is currently heading the sales and overall operations of Omni United’s Dubai subsidiary that is responsible for business in the Middle East and Africa region.
Prior to Omni United, he was the Chief Marketing Manager for Western India at Modi Rubber. He is a graduate of the famous Delhi University and has undertaken a number of training programs at Ramon & Demn Group Co. by the group of British faculty and undertaken training by German technical collaborators from Continental during his stint at Modi Rubber.
Vice President Sales - North America
Scott has over 29 years of exposure in the tire industry and has been one of the pioneers in building Omni United’s sales foundation in the USA. His key areas of focus are medium truck, passenger and light truck tire sales in the Midwest.
At Omni United, he is responsible for USA’s diverse customer base including retailers, mass merchandisers, wholesalers/distributors, and tire manufacturers in the passenger and light truck, truck and bus radial, off-the-road and agricultural segments.
Scott began his career in the tire industry in 1985 with the original Pirelli Tire Corporation unit in San Jose, California managing customer relations. He later went on to manage various roles such as Regional Technical Manager for 17 states and Regional Sales Manager. Before joining Omni he was the Regional Zone Manager of Large Equipment Tires for the Upper Midwest and Eastern Canada.
