Make Your Tires Leave A Mark In The World – Supporting the BCRF

We have always believed in giving back, both to the environment and to the society. This is one of the pillars that our company has been built on. It was these beliefs that led us to partner with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in 2011. Together we launched “Mobilizing Hope”, a corporate alliance program that supports BCRF’s mission to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research. Our support to the BCRF has not just been monetary but also heavily aimed at bringing awareness of their work into the forefront of our industry and society. Through this program, we have donated close to $1.1 million to the foundation and funded approx. 22,000 hours of research.

Over the years we have undertaken numerous initiatives to spread awareness for this cause. Some of these include launching a limited edition pink sidewall tire that was sold through a major distributor in the US, supporting BCRF in all major trade exhibitions and tire fairs globally and encouraging our dealers with in-store promotion and awareness materials. We have also received tremendous support from our racing teams as they have always displayed the BCRF logo on their race vehicles and and gear and recently we have had great support from our brand ambassador and LPGA Golfer, Jodi Ewart Shadoff who has joined her efforts with us in brining more awareness about this cause since 2016.

This year Radar Tires together with Jodi Ewart Shadoff bring our newest initiative “Birdies for BCRF” in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. During the month of October (officially recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness month), both Radar Tires and Jodi are pledging $100 each for every birdie Jodi makes in the three tournaments in which she will be playing:

  • September 28th – October 1st: MCKAYSON New Zealand Women's Open, Auckland, New Zealand
  • October 19th – 22th: Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship, Taipei, Taiwan
  • October 26th – 29th: Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Join us in supporting this cause and help promote BCRF’s mission of being the end of breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. You can choose your pledge amount ranging from $10/$25/$50 or $100 per birdie that Jodi makes during the above tournaments or you can even make a one-time donation to BCRF. Your contribution is 100% tax-deductible in the US. Click here to make a pledge/donation  https://pledgeit.org/birdies-for-bcrf

Working with our customers to create an impact locally – Supporting the NBCF (National Breast Cancer Foundation) in Australia

We have always endeavored to engage with our customers and partners at a local level by coming-up with initiatives that can positively impact society. This year Radar Tires has extended its support to Breast Cancer Research in Australia by teaming up the National Breast Cancer Foundation and one of our biggest customers Bob Jane T-Marts. During October, both Radar Tires and Bob Jane T-Marts are donating AUD2 for every Radar Tire sold. The funds raised will go towards life-changing breast cancer research.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is the only Australian body that funds life-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Breast cancer is the most common life-threatening cancer facing Australian women, with approximately eight women dying from the disease each day — mothers, sisters, wives, daughters and friends.

Research is the only way to improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world-class research, NBCF is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
