TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., March.8th, 2018 – Now in their sixth season of off-road racing, Radar Tires looks to continue to diversify their product offerings and class participation. Hector Maymes, Damen Jefferies and Radar Tires will do their best to race to the podium at the Best in the Desert Mint 400. Maymes/Jefferies, drivers of the flashy Class 11 No. #5117 Baja ORS bug will run the two-lap circuit totaling 200 miles.
The course runs East of Jean and Primm, with a complex stadium section at the Primm start and finish line and is a mix of rough Nevada desert, a dry lake bed and a few moderate speed graded roads.
Maymes and Jefferies will split driving duties, with their class 11 doing two 100-mile laps. Damen will start in the race, completing the first lap, with Hector taking on the second 100 miles.
“It’s probably one of the most fun races of the year, we’re excited to take these Radar Tires out there and see what we can do,” said #5117 driver Hector Maymes.
